About Dr. Q

I have always had a passion for helping people get healthy and maintain their health. Having played sports and being a martial artist, I have had my share of injuries. After a major car accident, I underwent physical therapy and fell in love with the profession. In 2006 I graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine with a Masters of Physical Therapy. While practicing physical therapy, I decided to return for my doctorate. In 2010 I received my Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. My doctoral work was a case study on prevention of lymphedema after a complete axillary node dissection on an elite triathlete. Along with my degrees, I hold a number of certifications in Kinesiotaping, strength training, and manual therapy.

I have been a physical therapist for over 10 years all of which were spent in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine. From 2006-2011 I worked for Cleveland Clinic Sports Medicine, which allowed me the opportunity to work with patients across the age spectrum ranging from the average injury to elite professional athletes trying to return to sport.  My passion for physical therapy lead me to go outside of my boundaries as just a staff Physical Therapist by actively taking on challenges to improve patient care, employee health, and community education. During my time there I pioneered and was the president of the Wellness Program for Cleveland Clinic with Dr. Michael Roizen, a nationally acclaimed physician, in an effort to promote and encourage a healthy and active lifestyle for employees to better serve patients.  I also fostered and developed the lymphedema program for Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital and was a clinical instructor for Cleveland State physical therapy students.

At the end of 2011, my husband and I relocated to Florida at which time I worked for Florida Hospital Sports Medicine and Orthopedics where I continued to perfect my skills as a therapist. Over the years I realized that I have the ability to not only treat injuries, but to prevent them. Corporate therapy settings do not allow for this as they are governed by insurance companies. In 2014 after much sole searching I decided to practice PT independently to allow me to treat who I want, how I want, and to be able to spend the individualized time with patients/clients to ensure the best outcome. In 2017 we decided to return to Cleveland, OH where I continue to practice concierge and virtual Physical Therapy. This enables me to treat people far beyond my geographical location. I am excited to assist people in returning to their normal active lifestyles quickly and effectively!

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband, family and friends! I have a love for Taekwondo, Zumba, yoga, and road cycling. Being from Montana, I try to spend as much time outside as possible.
